RotaHam Series
A Versatile drill with a combination of both Direct Rotary and DTH Technologies.
   
COMBINATION RIGS.
Rotary-cum-percussion is the combination method of percussion and rotary drill. It is not practicable to put one drill for one operation and get another drill for second operation. Combination drill is used so that any drilling operations can be done depending upon the condition of the site. These drills are used generally for alluvial formation comprising boulder rocks.
 
RATED CAPACITY :
  165 mm dia. Holes upto 300 mtrs. by DTH method in hard rock and 203/215 mm dia. Holes upto 300 mtrs by mud rotary method in alluvial soil. 406/445 mm dia. Hole upto 60 mtrs. by mud Rotary method through reaming operation.
   
PULL DOWN :
  Through hydraulic cylinder and wire rope. Pull down force variable upto 16,300 Kgs. Micro-Feed’ and Hold-back arrangement.
   
PULL UP (HOISTING) :
  Variable up to 13,400 Kgs. High speed hoisting provided.
   
ROTATION HEAD
  Top drive hydraulic motor driven through gear train immersed in oil bath providing infinitely variable speeds of 0-100 RPM.
   
AIR COMPRESSOR
  21 mt. 3/min at 17 kg./cm2 (750 CFM ,250 PSIG), Rotary screw type, driven by its own separate diesel engine
   
MUD PUMP
  ‘PRECISION’ make model S-150 duplex double acting reciprocating mud pump having `6” stroke and fitted with 5.1/2” liner capable of delivering 900 LPM and a maximum pressure of 18 Kg/cm2
   
MOUNTING
  6 x 4 drive Ashok Leyland `HIPPO’ Truck Chassis.
   
POWER UNIT
  Rig including mud pump driven by truck engine through power take off. Compressor driven by independent diesel engine.
   
MAST
  Heavy duty structural steel construction electrically welded capable of handling 6.1 mtrs. (20’) long drill rods. Mast raised and lowered by hydraulic cylinder.
   
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
  Comprising of hydraulic pumps, control valves, reservoir, etc. Total oil displacement around 350 LPM at a pressure of 180 – 210 Kg/cm2
   
LEVELING JACKS
  4 Nos. Hydraulic leveling jacks with safety check valves provided.
   
AIR LINE LUBRICATOR
  13.5 Ltrs. Capacity provided.
   
WATER/FOAM INJECTION SYSTEM
  Reciprocating water injection pump provided.
   
AUXILIARY WINCH/ & JIB BOOM
  3000 Kgs. Capacity hydraulic motor driven Auxiliary winch provided. A hydraulically adjustable jib boom swiveling over 450 mounted on the top of the mast.
   
ROD CHANGER
  Hydraulically operated automatic indexing carousel for carrying 7 Nos. rods of 4.1/2” OD x 20’ length provided.
   
ROD RACK
  Rod Rack arrangement provided along the side of the mast to carry 8 Nos. drill rods.
   
SHOCK ABSORBER SYSTEM
  Shock absorber sub provided along with the rotation head to prevent damage due to shock loads.
   
DRILL ROD (RECOMMENDED )
  114 mm OD x 6.1 mtrs. (4.1/2” OD x 20’) external flush type drill rods with tool joints as per API standards.
   
OPTIONAL
  Mounting on two truck concept. Choice of Compressors Casing hammer attachment or ODEX system for simultaneous casing lowering.
