1.Description
Mode-JCRCD-800 C is a multipurpose drill rig capable of performing Diamond Core cum DTH cum Rotary Drilling mounted on Crawler with top head drive, Hydraulics driven by Deck Engine. This drill pack also can be mounted on Trailer or Slid or Truck.
2. Application
JCR CD-800 C is a multipurpose drill rig used for Water exploration and Geological exploration such as minerals, Coal……etc.
3. Capacity
a) DTH drilling
Is capable of drilling 165mm hole to the depth of 800 meters.
Waterwell JCR CD 800 C
b) Diamond Core Drilling
Is Capable of drilling hole size of PQ(114mm)/HQ(95mm)/NQ(75mm)/BQ(55mm) Series 600m/850m/1200/1500 m, respectively.
c) Rotary Drilling Capacity
Using Tricone bits of size 9 7/8” can drill to a depth of 250 mtrs (Actual drilling capacity will depend on the in-hold tools and conditions, drilling techniques and equipments used)
4. Engine
Cummins make and model 6 CTA 8.3-C195 of capacity 145kw (198 bhp)/ Any other equivalent capacity reputed engine will be provided.
5. Mast
The box type mast is made out of structural steel, heavy duty welded construction, reinforced with suitable cross members, capable of withstanding all drilling loads. The mast is capable of handling 3 meters (10’) drill pipes and casing pipes. The drill rig is provided with the level indicators. The mast is raised and lowered by hydraulic cylinders. The mast adjusting angle 00 to 900 and drilling angle -450 to -900 .The mast comprises of a lower part ,an upper part .The Lower part is a directed trial where the drill head is driven by the drill head tugging plate to realize its feeding and lifting. The Upper part is for the enhancing the lifting height of the winch and improving the efficiency of the core drilling.
6. Top Head Drive: (Drill Head )
The top head drive is driven by the variable Sauer Danfoss make hydraulic motor through a 4-speed Funk Gear box with mechanical transmission to suite to drill different formation at different speeds and Torques as mentioned in the below table

The Hydraulic Chuck of disc spring clamp type is located on the top of the drill spindle with suitable axial holding capacity to hold the drill pipes. Pivoting type, manual actuated top head drive can be swung out.
7. Hydraulic System
An efficiently designed hydraulic system is provided to operate rotation, feed, jacks and mast raising cylinders, Main Winch and breakout wrenches, Mud pump. The system is operated with variable displacement pump & mounted on the Deck Engine .The hydraulic system includes fin type Hydraulic oil cooler with a capacity of 80 GPM suitable for 50 deg. Centigrade ambient, high pressure hydraulic hoses, control valves, gauges etc. for efficient operations. Hydraulic reservoir of capacity of 420 liters located conveniently, suction strainer is provided to avoid foreign particle entering the suction line and the plump return line is provided filtration with 40micron element. A suitable Axial piston variable displacement triplex pumps with load sensing system is provided for rotation, feed, auxiliary system etc.
7.1 Primary pump : DANFOSS make axial piston variable displacement triplex pump for driving of drill head roration , Main hoist, Mud Pump & Line Winch.
1st pump : 15 lpm
2nd pump : 120 lpm
3rd pump : 102 lpm
7.2 Secondary pump : Duplex gear pumps to operate hydraulic outriggers, upper and foot clamps ,rotator floating control system and other accessories.
8. Stabilizers (Jacks)
Hydraulic operated leveling jacks of 300mm stroke x 100mm? x70mm? (stroke) 4 numbers is provided with suitable leveling arrangement and double lock check valves (locking devices) and is located at convenient place for fast and accurate leveling..
9. Foot Clamp
Hydraulically operated foot clamp with two hydraulic cylinders and clamps will hold the drill pipes firmly while breaking.
10. Control Panel
Centralized control panel is located at convenient place on the drill to enable the driller for efficient control of the operation. All levers, valves and gauges are conveniently grouped. The control for setting up of rig is grouped in such a way to prevent accidental operation while drilling. A lockable steel cover (Control Panel Cover) is provided for the control panel to protect gauges and controls during the transportation. Gauges to include rotation control, feed control. Hold back control, air pressure control and includes emergency shutdown switch for the engine.
11. Main Winch
7.5 ton Capacity main hoist with 38-70m/min. speed (with bare drum) with 18mm cable dia of 50m length will be provided.
12. Wire Line winch
with 1.2 ton capacity with 120m/min. speed (with bare drum) with 6mm Cable dia of 1500m length will be provided.
13. Mud Pump
The rig is provided with Triplex Plunges reciprocating mud pump of stroke 100mm can deliver 250 lpm a@ 2.5 mpa to 52 lpm @ 6.0 mpa the mud pump is suitable for handling clear water, and bentonite solutions.
14. Light system
The electrical system of the rig is 12/24 V system connected to the batteries of the rigs engine. The system is provided on the panel and instrument illuminating light and minimum three spot is directed at the mast and rotation.
15. Drillers and Operators Platform
A suitable folding working platform (full length) is provided for the operator and the helper.
16. Tool Box
Suitable tool Box with necessary tools generally required for drilling is provided.
17. Compressor
For DTH Drilling a reputed make compressor of capacity 1100cfm/300PSI is recommended
